The Marlborough Branch has to report the death of Francis Peter Ashfield, P/KX527051.  Past President and respected Member of this Branch. Peter died on 28 August at Wairau Hospital, Blenheim.  A very well attended funeral was held at Renwick on Friday 2nd August.  Messages to Ashfield Family, 28A Bryden Street, Renwick, Marlborough.

Peter served in the RN during WW2 in Repair Ship HMS Greenwich in Iceland and at Scapa Flow. Then post war in HMS Cheviot on the Palestine Patrol for 6 months
