Old Canterbury ship is in place & today the explosives people from the U.K. start setting up the charges.
On Saturday the weather looks ok at this stage but you never know. If the wind is over 15knots, Fullers will pull Arawhiti car ferry as there will be a marquee on board, besides it will be unsafe in those conditions. So people need to be aware that Saturday those on the car ferry may be disappointed. However those on Tiger 5 won’t be disappointed as it will still run.
If there is a delay in dropping her on Saturday, it will be due to the weather i.e. winds over 20knots around F421, or dolphins encroaching, with that we have to wait till they go. With the weather we have to wait & if so we have identified up till 1900hrs before we pull the plug & then try the next day or the next day till conditions permit.
