National Presidents Report.

To all shipmates it is my pleasure to write this first report as National President of the new Association which was formed on Sunday 13th May 2007 at Palmerston North.

During that weekend the two existing Associations Royal New Zealand Naval Assoc. (RNZNA) and the Ex-Royal Navalmens Assoc. of New Zealand (ERNA) had their final conferences and moved to wind up and form a completely new association under the name of Royal New Zealand Naval Association with the existing ERNA flag badge with the new name under flag.

The meeting on Sunday 13th May was opened by Chief of Navy Rear Admiral David Ledson and also present was Rear Admiral (Rtd) Peter McAffie. A new committee was elected and is:

The process of winding up both associations is moving along and the National Secretary has forwarded details to branches along with capitation and membership lists for processing.

We hope to have the new association up and running fully and smoothly as soon as possible. I welcome any E-Mails or phone calls.
