Dear Ann, My name is Alby Osborne and on behalf of the R.N.Z.N.Association (Tauranga Branch) Please accept our sincere condolences on this sad occassion.

Perk's served with me on Taranaki in 1971 I was the Doc on board and had a lot of respect for Perk's, I trust you won't mind if I say a few words that might give some comfort to all the families involved.......
On the door of the cottage a reef sadly hung.... as a Hearse stands there waiting ...a choir softly sung

And there on the pulpit a padre he prays.....for this is the last tribute before you leave for his grave

He wont be with you tonight as you crave his carress......he has lived and loved you all... and now you must lay him to rest

Those flowers and their beauty are to him unknown....for tonight he is with the angels up around gods great throne.

Once again we dedicate ourselves to the cause of ......JUSTICE.....FREEDOM......and....PEACE... in Richard Perkins name.. and pray that the wisdom and strength he has left us.. will enable us all to build a better world.

REST IN PEACE
Shipmate.
