It is Advised with much regret the Death of William (Bill) Joseph Brown Lieutenant Commander (retd)

Bill Brown passed away peacefully Sunday 27 July 2008 at North Shore Hospice, aged 90 years, 3 Months.

A funeral service will be held for Bill at the Naval Chapel of St Christopher, HMNZS PHILOMEL at 1330 Thursday 31 July 2008.

Family requests in lieu of flowers, donations to the North Shore Hospice trust, PO Box 331129, Takapuna, would be greatly appreciated.

p.s Bill joined the VR in Dunedin and was a rating in the Signals Branch until 1948 when he CFR'd to Regular Service and Auxiliary Branch.  Amongst his various postings he was Commanding Officer of Kiwi and servied on Hawea, Rotoiti and  Black Prince.  His final posting was RNO Dunedin.
