Jimmy was a very bloody good friend of mine, & a great mate, we joined pussers on the same day, (3rd Sept 1959) Jim's service # was an Army one, for he was, for a short period of time in the Army as CMT, so kept that #
He served on Taranaki for a short period. but during the Indonesian confrontation, served on Santon. under Lin Tempro (Lt.Cdr) and from Santon, he served on the RN fast motor Boat HMS Camberford (doing fast attack incursions up the rivers around Borneo/Malaya) for a period before returning to Santon.. He was an FC 2 .. made killick for a brief period, but lost his hook,
Jimmy will be sadly missed
